Well, this is quickly turning in to a post-2-photos-every-2-days blog. I am slacking.
Here are the interiors of two different churches in Trieste:

Castles in Trieste
This is the Miramare Castle, and the name means "to see the sea." It is an appropriate name, as the castle has some fantastic views of the sea and much of the inside is modeled after boats and life on the sea. It was gorgeous on the inside, but I couldn't take photos of the interior.
The Duino castle was very different from other castles I've visited. Apparently it is still used as a private residence now, instead of going fully museum. Rainer Maria Rilke once lived here briefly.

Lucchetti di amore
Yesterday, I went to Trieste with some friends. It is a sea-side city with some really neat castles. In fact, I'll bet I end up posting some castle pictures later this week.
Since I missed a day yesterday, here is a bonus. These are padlocks of love, attached to the lamp post on a bridge by young Italian couples.

Where where where where?
I know it is ridiculous, but I kind of laugh when I see Dove brand items in Italy. Dove (doh-vay) in Italian means "where."

Two ways?
After living here for a while, I finally stopped asking "Is that road really two ways?"
Yeah, the roads are narrow. You eventually get over it.
This one in particular is exciting because it's a wacky 5-way intersection with a tunnel shoved in the middle of it. Fun!
